Pretoddler and Preschool Class
This age group has an array of varying developmental levels. I will work one on one with your child and discuss with you what their developmental needs are. I will make individualized lesson plans to meet the needs of your child. We will watch them grow in all developmental areas together. I will contiunally assess their learning and plan accordingly. We will work on early literacy concepts, naming shapes and colors, animal sounds and names, sing songs, fingerplays, read stories, engage in dramatic and sensory play. Your child will be engaged in learning and will flourish here. We will have a daily schedule to include circle time, story time, free play, structured play, individual concentration on specific skills, social interactions, meal times and rest time. If your child is not a napper, we can find a quiet activitiy to engage his or her mind. Meal times will include family style dining where we will all sit and eat together. A sample of the daily schedule for our program is listed below:
630-800 Drop off and free play
800-830 Circle time activities and story time
830-900 Breakfast
900-1000 Outside time
1000-1100 Group activities
1100-1130 Literacy activities, songs, fingerplays
1130-1200 Lunchtime
1200-230 Rest time or quiet activities
230-300 Snack
300-400 Outside time
400-500 Group activities
500-600 Late pm snack and free play until pick-up
Transitional Kindergarten Class
For children attending that will be going to Kindergarten next year, we will work on the skills they will need to be successful. We will work on letter recognition and sounds, writing, and early print concepts of literacy. Any area that you would like me to work on individually with your child, I will more than gladly make lesson plans to correspond with that desire. I am here for both you and your child.
